Mayan Abdominal massage
Maya Abdominal Therapy is a series of non-invasive, external, visceral massage techniques as well as the use of herbal medicine to the abdomen and lower back that has traditionally been used in the Maya Civilization of Central America. It targets the physical stress and build-up in the muscles and tissues to release and encourage an overall state of internal health and balance. This massage is effective for both men and women.
The Mayans believe the abdomen is central to healing. The umbilical region radiates the energy "u muuk" nak which beats with life and is fundamental to the health of the body. They believe this is where many human emotions are stored, and therefore represent a place of power and weaknesses of the person.

Also, the abdominal muscles link the upper and lower halves of the body, affecting everything from how we breathe to how we stand and move. When the abdomen can’t properly support and align the body, the paths of energy, nutrients, and communication become blocked and the body is no longer able to function properly.
This massage is effective for both men and women and corrects poor blood flow in the abdomen and the organs vital to digestion, assimilation, elimination, secretions and reproduction.
